Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.Job DescriptionProvide classroom instruction, evaluate and advise Mathematics students;Be an integral part of the program review and assessment process. This includes (but not limited to): to develop and/or revise program learning outcomes and curriculum to support the outcomes; develop curriculum maps for both College and Program Learning Outcomes and assessment plans that measure student learning; collect assessment of student learning data and assessment of student learning data and other data provided for Program ReviewParticipate in department meetings, committee/workgroup meetings, and college-wide events;Maintain technical knowledge in the field through active participation in professional development organizations and events;Promote and recruit programs within and outside of the College;Promote diversity and cultural competency;Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Dean or Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs.Minimum QualificationsMaster?s degree with a major in Mathematics orMaster?s degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in Mathematics.Preferred QualificationTwo years of community college teaching experience;Previous teaching experience in an urban two-year college;Excellent written and oral communication skills;Ability to work both independently and with a variety of people as a team member;Knowledge of multi-cultural, gender- and disability-fair curriculum development;Ability to work with a diverse student body with a broad range of interests and abilities;Experience with course construction, curriculum development and classroom management;Experience with web-enhanced and on-line course teaching with the D2L Platform.Other RequirementsAll resumes must clearly address the Required Qualifications as stated above.
