Job Description Summary
This role will be responsible for the preparation, review and submission of sponsored program proposals for submission to sponsors. Will function as a resource for sponsored program guidelines, policies and procedures. Support with preparation for budget meetings, and provide financial monitoring and reporting for sponsored programs including foundations, federal and other agencies.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and review proposal budgets and assist in other proposal development activities for staff linked with grant/award.
• Prepare and present detailed and accurate budgets for Clinical Research Studies
• Assist or lead negotiation with funding sources, vendors and/or other stakeholders to secure budgets and financial terms and conditions in line with Institutional policies and practices.
• Work collaboratively with study teams to prepare study invoices according to the agreement and budget.
• Monitor and communicate the progress of budget and financial terms and conditions to ensure key stakeholders are maintained informed on on-going bases.
• Provide liaison to research offices across the University
• Responsible for adding all pre award information to department database for continuous updates to research support
• Monitor grant expenditure for compliance and corrective actions as needed. Work very closely with payroll coordinator to insure proper effort allocated.
• Maintain and monitor specific groups of faculty and their overall portfolio. Produce and distribute specialized research related financial reports for investigators. Meet monthly to review their funds and total research portfolio Provide liaison to research offices across the University
• Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly/ quarterly/ as required effort reports.
• Produce distribute specialized related financial reports for investigators. Post award duties include award set up and management for financial and regulatory compliance, meeting regularly with investigators for expense reporting and projects, and processing reports and transactions, including subcontract activity from start to close out.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned and faculty distribution of research allocations to investigators

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Knowledge and skill in using computer application such as (Microsoft office- excel, word) is essential.
• Ability to navigate financial systems application and software.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and
