The Department of Political Science at Washington & Jefferson College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor with a specialization in American Government and Politics, especially in the areas of public law, constitutional law, and civil liberties. It is likely this position will become an endowed position. Candidates must be able to teach introductory and upper-level courses in American politics, including the presidency, constitutional law, Federalism, the Supreme Court and the Bill of Rights, public administration, and institutional norms and governance. Candidates are also expected to engage in scholarly research and service. This position includes pre-law advising responsibilities. Therefore, candidates should have prior professional experience and have established a successful track record of pre-law advising.
