The Department of Psychological Science seeks a one-year visiting assistant professor to begin in the Fall of 2025 in the areas of Clinical Psychology and Statistics.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching and either have completed a Ph.D. or be ABD in Clinical Psychology at the time of appointment. The successful applicant will teach classes that support, or are required for, our Psychological Science major. The teaching expectation is five course units for the year. Teaching responsibilities will likely include an upper-level Clinical Psychology seminar in an area of the candidates expertise, an intermediate-level Clinical Psychology course, and an introductory course in Statistics & Experimental Design and/or an intermediate level Clinical Psychology Research Methods course with a lab. Teaching responsibilities may also include another course that supports the major. The position includes a dedicated office and access to shared equipment for teaching and research purposes.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The annual base starting salary range for this full-time visiting position is $87,000 to $91,000 (USD). When extending an offer of employment, Vassar College considers factors such as (but not limited to) candidates education/training, work experience, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations. This salary range represents the Colleges good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting.
