The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine at the University of Washington, School of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor level, without tenure due to funding (WOT), with an interest in General Cardiology. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Associate and Professor WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW?s Faculty Code Section 24-34.  The anticipated start date is August 1, 2025.

The position includes engagement in patient care, scholarship, and medical education. The candidate will have opportunities to provide a strong commitment to patient care with an interest in general cardiology, practicing dynamic, cutting-edge medicine at the top-rated hospital in the state of Washington. The successful candidate will have their outpatient clinical practice including echocardiography at the Eastside Specialty Center and inpatient practice at the UW Medical Center-Montlake. Teaching duties will include didactic lecturing and bedside education on an inpatient Cardiology service at UW Medical Center-Montlake and outpatient Cardiology clinic at the Eastside Specialty Center to Cardiology fellows and Internal Medicine residents. The successful candidate will be expected to provide effective leadership and support the department's commitment to patient care, scholarship and medical education. 

The base salary range for this position will be $16,250-$41,667 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include an administrative salary supplement (ADS), moonlighting opportunities, and incentive through UW Physicians practice plan.

University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, scholarship and service.

Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent), be board certified or eligible in Cardiology (or foreign equivalent) and Transthoracic, Transesophageal, and Stress Echocardiography through the National Board of Echocardiography (or foreign equivalent), and must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington. Successful candidates must have an academic track record with evidence of publications. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
