Position Description

The University of Washington School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Seattle Children's Hospital is seeking an academic psychologist for the Pain Medicine program at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. This position is without tenure by reason of funding and is either full-time or part-time with an anticipated start date of July 2025 or thereafter. Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Associate Professors and Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professor $10,084 - $11,160 per month ($121,008 - $133,920 annually), Associate Professor $11,093 - $12,276 per month ($133,116- $147,312 annually), Professor $12,203 - $13,504 per month ($146,436 - $162,048 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through the CUMG practice plan. Compensation provided by the CUMG practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Seattle Children's provides care to children from the WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho) region and supports all pediatric surgical and medical specialties. Responsibilities include a clinical commitment focusing on the interdisciplinary outpatient pain clinic, pain rehabilitation program, inpatient consultation, conducting programmatic research on aspects of pain assessment and treatment in children, providing leadership and facilitating research for other faculty and trainees, and teaching of trainees from various disciplines. Qualifications

Must have a PhD degree (or foreign equivalent) in clinical or health psychology, demonstrate evidence of specialty training in pediatric pain medicine, and must obtain State of Washington psychology licensure no later than the appointment start date.
