Position Purpose:
Develop policies and procedures for the delivery of student services within the School of Nursing. Assure that policies and procedures are consistent with administrative and academic policies and procedures; manage all student services activities. Implements programs that help advance the academic goals of OUSON. Provides administrative support as it relates to academic curriculum, catalog and scheduling, student grievances and academic advising. Works with SON Leadership team to manage enrollment trends and coordinate recruitment and retention opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in Counseling or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum three (3) years of experience in providing academic advising services to diverse populations in a university setting, including broad university student services experience and understanding of the interface between student services and academic excellence.
- Demonstrated administrative, management and supervisory experience, strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving skills, effective oral and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with nursing students, specifically in the area of academic advising and career development.
- Knowledge of CCNE accreditation standards.
- Previous experience supervising and managing employees.
