Lecturer in Discipline
Frontiers of Science is a one-semester course that integrates modern science into the Core Curriculum of Columbia College in order to introduce exciting scientific ideas and inculcate scientific habits of mind. The program seeks to appoint three instructors at the rank of Lecturer in Discipline, These are full-time positions with multi-year renewal contingent on successful review.
We invite applications from qualified candidates with significant experience teaching general science, multi-disciplinary courses to both science and non-science students. Frontiers of Science instructors will be appointed in an appropriate natural science department and teach two seminar sections (up to 22 students each) each semester.
