The role of the Porter's Lodge Assistant will be to coordinate operation of the Graduate College Porter's Lodge under the supervision of the Graduate College Coordinator by providing reception service and processing mail and packages for Graduate College residents.

This position is temporary. This position is 8 hours per week with an opportunity to cover weekday shifts due to call outs and vacations. Must be able to work 10am-2pm on Saturdays, and must be able to work 4pm-8pm one evening (Monday-Friday) a week.

• Process mail and packages for Graduate College residents
• Answer phone calls to the Porter's Lodge and assist with answering questions
• Communicate any concerns or questions promptly to the Graduate College Office Coordinator
• Assist students with inputting work orders for facilities concerns at the Graduate College
• Responsible for requesting advance approval from their supervisor for time off

• Education- High school diploma or equivalent
• Great customer service skills
• Great communication skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work 10am-2pm on Saturdays
• Must be able to work 4pm-8pm one evening (Monday-Friday) a week
