Works to assess local needs and develops, implements, and facilitates general interest Continuing Education classes and college credit classes.

Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years' experience in a college atmosphere preferred. Good public relations skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must.

1. Responsible for the daily operations of the Maquoketa Center. Resolves all situations within the Center that affects the general welfare of staff, students, faculty, tenants, and the general public.

2. Develops, implements, and evaluates non-credit classes, community service offerings and special events.

3. Assists with the planning and implementation of credit offerings in Maquoketa.

4. Assists in identifying local needs and in developing programs to meet those needs.

5. Supervises the Maquoketa Center daytime and evening staff, including work study students. Schedules staff to assure maximum coverage for the Center.

6. Oversees the scheduling of rooms for course and community activities in the Center. Responsible for the scheduling and/or rental with both internal and external constituents.

7. Participates in the selection and hiring of instructors for credit courses offered in Maquoketa.

8. Oversees the selection, hiring, and evaluation of instructors and workshop assistants.

9. Actively promotes the college's credit and non-credit offerings and non-credit offerings and provides the public with general information about the college.

10. Coordinates registration and collection of tuition and fees from students and instructors.

11. Serves as an advisor for Maquoketa students

12. Coordinates the registration process for courses offered for Maquoketa High School students.

13. Develops the schedule for the delivery of student books and materials and supplies for students at the Center

14. Develops the schedule for Student Development staff in Maquoketa. Determine the need for staff availability. Coordinates student orientations, and refers students to appropriate staff for assistance.

15. Develops and maintains a process to communicate with Maquoketa students, faculty and staff to keep informed about college policies and activities.

16. Serves as a liaison between the community, school district and the college.

17. Monitors and assists in developing the budget for the Maquoketa Center.

18. Serves as a liaison between Iow@Work and the college.

19. Is committed to providing quality service that meets or exceeds the expectations of internal and external customers.

20. Other duties as assigned
