Research Associate
The successful candidate will conduct experiments to grow and analyze rubber producing plants in the field, greenhouse and hydroponic systems. Specific duties include: grow rubber producing plants in the field, greenhouse and hydroponic systems, select high performance plants, collect, clean, stratify and store seed; test seed priming systems to maximize germination rates; test ABA analogs to reduce seed dormancy; develop NIR models to quantifyrubber concentration and water content in living plants and in dried ground samples; induce polyploidy in diploid rubber producing plants. Other duties include acquisition, organization, and storage of data in Microsoft Office and other, platform-specific software; data analysis and interpretation; writing of weekly work and data summaries;
