Job Summary:
The School of Music at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Music Technology. We are seeking an accomplished educator and practitioner who is passionate about teaching and mentoring students in a dynamic, interdisciplinary academic setting. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the launch of the new BA in Film and Sonic Art program, advancing the university's commitment to interdisciplinary arts education.
Responsibilities
Teach courses in areas such as audio engineering and music technology. The teaching loadxconsists of three courses per semester, with primary teaching responsibilities for courses including:
o MUS 150: Introduction to Audio Engineering
o MUS 317: Music Technology
o MUS 380: Advanced Mixing
o MUS 381: Recording Techniques and Microphone Placement
Oversee all recording efforts for student recitals, including setup and recording processes.
Train and manage students in studio recording, and post-production.
Contribute to the development and implementation of an innovative curriculum for the BA in Film and Sonic Art program.

professional experience in audio engineering or a closely related area may be considered in lieu of a graduate-level degree.
