Texas Christian University (TCU), School of Nurse Anesthesia seeks a 12-month full-time faculty member committed to teaching, scholarship, and service in the promotion of future success of the program and students.

EXTRAORDINARY OPPORTUNITY - The 12-month professional practice faculty will enter at the rank of assistant/associate professor to collaborate with the School of Nurse Anesthesia to:
• teach at the graduate/doctoral level in the School of Nurse Anesthesia’s DNAP program.
• engage in scholarship and advisement to students completing their DNAP projects.
• provide service to the School, College, and University in the form of committees and accreditation activities.

The Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences consists of programs that prepare future health care and human services professionals. The academic units within Harris College – Applied Health Sciences, Communication Sciences & Disorders, Occupational Therapy, Kinesiology, Nurse Anesthesia, Nursing, and Social Work – are home to 1,900 students who are supported by committed and talented faculty and staff. Harris College offers 20 degree pathways in our health-related disciplines. Students benefit from learning experiences in campus laboratories and hospitals, clinics, schools, fitness facilities, and community service agencies throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. On campus, the Miller Speech & Hearing Clinic provides services for more than 300 families each year and serves as a professional practice site for students majoring in speech pathology and habilitation of the deaf. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS – For consideration, the faculty candidate must possess:
• an earned doctorate in nursing or related field from a regionally accredited institution/program (or equivalent);
• prelicensure master’s or doctoral degree with a nurse anesthesia major from a regionally accredited institution and nationally accredited nurse anesthesia program;
• three or more years of clinical experience in the certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) role;
• current unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the state of Texas, or eligibility for licensure;
• current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA); and
• current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
