The School of Health Professions (SHP) at Stony Brook University invites applicants to apply for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Health Science Department. The incumbent will be located on the Stony Brook University, East Campus, Health Sciences Center.

The successful candidate for this position will need to have the expertise to teach multiple courses in at least one (1) of the following spring concentrations of the Health Science Major found at the links below:

The new faculty member will report to the Chairperson of the Health Science Department and will have responsibilities in teaching, research/scholarship, and service.  Service responsibilities include but are not limited to advising students; providing service to the program, school, university, community and profession; and assisting the Chairperson with accreditation efforts, alumni engagement, external giving outreach and other assignments which contribute to program growth.

Required Qualifications:
Master?s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in a relevant discipline. Experience teaching at the college level. One year of industry experience in either Emergency and Critical Care, Healthcare Management, or Public Health/Community Health.  

Preferred Qualifications:
Earned academic doctoral degree (or foreign equivalent- PhD, EdD, etc.) in related discipline. Expertise to teach in more than one of the following spring concentrations of study:  Healthcare Management, Emergency and Critical Care, Public Health/Community Health Education.
