Job Description:
The Center for Bioenergy and Bioproducts at Auburn University invites applications for the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow. This is a benefits-eligible, non-tenure track position with an initial appointment of one year, renewable up to a maximum of four years based on performance and funding availability. The expected start date is November 1, 2024.
This research-focused role involves professional and technical work in the production of bioproducts, chemicals, and biofuels from woody biomass, primarily using an electrochemical platform or a thermochemical-electrochemical hybrid process. Key responsibilities include:
Assisting the Principal Investigator (PI) in research activities.
Assisting in writing proposals for extramural funding.
Supervising the bioenergy group including mentoring student researchers (graduate and undergraduate).
Summarizing data and publishing research findings.
Preparing technical reports, manuscripts for publication, and various presentations.
Performing other related duties as assigned by the PI.
