The Division of Cardiovascular Diseases and Hypertension, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School seeks to employ a Section Chief of Heart Failure.

This position offers the opportunity for the potential faculty member to engage in research and join a team of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons to help expand our advanced heart failure/mechanical support / transplant program at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) and at the academic practices of the medical school. As Section Chief, the selected candidate will lead and give oversight to the Heart Failure programs with a multi-disciplinary team. This includes heart failure cardiologists and surgeons, trainees, nurse practitioners and registered nurses, as well as pharmacy, behavioral health, social work, and nutritional services. They will develop, guide, manage, implement, monitor and enforce the clinical, administrative, educational and research activities of the Section to ensure efficient, timely and high-quality delivery of patient care services.

They will also be responsible for providing Cardiology services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick, which may include: cardiopulmonary exercise testing, hemodynamic monitor implantation, LVAD and transplant, advanced imaging, electrophysiology, participation in investigator-initiated and sponsored clinical, and other heart failure procedures.
