Job Overview
The Office of Inclusive Excellence and Community Engagement is seeking a Program Coordinator to assist with women in engineering programming and events.
This position reports to the Women in Engineering Director (Director). The Program Coordinator (PC) assists with developing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating programs to assist with the recruitment, support and retention of female engineering students, faculty and staff.
This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote option for applicants with a residence within OH/IN/KY. Hybrid remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with business needs and university policies.
Essential Functions
- Develop, implement, and coordinate programs to support female engineering students, faculty and staff, including but not limited to, the Women in Engineering Welcome Back Event, Evening with Industry and Women in Engineering and Technology Day.
- Develop program objectives and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward program objectives. Review program objectives to identify challenges and solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.
- Assist Program Director in the utilization of research and other benchmark information in order to develop grant proposals, new program ideas and propose program changes.
- Develop and administer program survey and assessment tools. Analyze data, compile statistics and prepare survey reports.
- Collaborate with marketing staff to develop and implement a marketing strategy to encourage female students to participate in programs and events, as well as to assist with the recruitment of female students to enroll in CEAS.
- Plan multiple events for Women in Engineering.
- In collaboration with the Program Director, develop an annual programming budget and monitor expenses throughout the year.
- Supervise student workers, interns, and volunteers. Including but not limited to: developing work schedule, and coordinating work load.
- Interact with staff, faculty and external agencies and other university departments as it relates to women in engineering initiatives and programming.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
One (1) year of program coordination experience.
