The basics of this position:

The Career Pathway Coach is a key position in the implementation of the Healthcare Workforce Training program at St. Louis Community College to support the development of innovative approaches to address current and future workforce needs in the health services industry.
Serves as a coach, guide and advocate for health care participants through all levels of their training, beginning with program entry, to advance their progress along a career pathway.

What you'll do:

• • Responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of a plan for each participant to include assessment, career exploration and blueprinting, enrollment in non-credit training, and job search.
  • Assists participants in navigating life issues that are barriers to retention in their educational program. Links participants with other resources on the STLCC campuses such as advising, financial aid, disability offices, and child care resources, as well as resources in the community.
  • Works with participants individually and in small groups, and closely monitors each participant’s progress.
  • Coordinates with employer and clinical partners, outside organizations, funding resources, and other grant team members on recruitment and delivery of services to participants.
  • Assists with detailed record keeping, data collection and reporting.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and over three years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in an education setting
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (i.e. Canvas)
