Position Summary:

Essential Functions:

• Provides leadership and focus to support GSB initiatives involving alumni. Supports event planning and communication related to this constituency.
• Responsible for the implementation and execution of programs, events, and services designed to increase alumni engagement ensuring all outreach supports and aligns with the strategic initiatives of GSB, on-campus programs, annual signature events and new engagement opportunities.
• Assists in developing an alumni communications plan in partnership with GSB Communications including online newsletters, magazine articles, social media, and support of special events.
• Oversees the initiative to better engage undergraduate and graduate students through communication, customer service, and events.
• Initiates cross collaboration and works closely with the development staff to design new and creative ways to increase alumni participation and to facilitate relationships between alumni and Fordham University / GSB.
• Works in a coordinated and collaborative fashion with the central Office of Alumni Relations (OAR).
• Leverages offerings of OAR (i.e. alumni directory, alumni business directory, mentoring program, regional and affinity chapters, etc.) to advance relationships with Gabelli alumni.
• Serves as the Gabelli lead on OAR-managed events such as Block Party, Jubilee, and Homecoming. Develops proficiency in updating pertinent donor information in the CRM database (Advance).
• Creates and manages applicable web pages.
• Performs other responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, business, communications, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in alumni relations and/or development managing and fostering productive relationships.
• Proficient personal-computer skills (i.e., Google Workspace, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Mailchimp, Imods, Basecamp, Advance CRM).
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Enthusiasm, creativity, organizational ability, attention to detail, and focus.
• Ability to attend occasional evening and weekend events and to travel locally.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Significant experience with volunteer management, events, or communications.

Minimum Salary: $68,000

Maximum Salary: $76,000
