IT Facilities Auxiliary Services is comprised of a team of 19 staff supporting 23 different Technologies 24x7x365 throughout the Medical Center Campus as well as offsite Primary Care Network Clinics. We support a combination of Life Safety Critical Technologies in addition to Physical Security, Patient Entertainment and Communications Technologies.

Responsibilities
This position reports to the IT Facilities Technologies Supervisor and provides day to day support of technologies to include but not limited to Digital Signage, Cardkey, Surveillance, Tele sitter Cameras, Infant Abduction, Patient Education & Nurse Call, Vocera Communications Technology, cellular pocket pagers, paging technology, RFID tags, RFID application support, Secure Text Messaging application support and ongoing maintenance, repair, and replacement of such technologies.

The primary focus of this position will be to maintain the Digital Signage Content Management System. Successful candidate will maintain the digital signage matrix with any content created or edited onboard and oversee the operation of the digital signage network and screens. Monitors the digital signage content broadcasted to ensure it meets the expected functionality and assist with the development of new digital signage content. Successful candidate will assist with the operation of the Microsoft Surface tables and maintain IPTV and Patient Engagement, and Patient observation.

Successful candidate will also be responsible for working daily trouble tickets and new service requests; providing technical analysis and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues. Position requires excellent communication skills to work with vendors on a regular basis regarding open issues, downtime notifications, change management technology advancement opportunities, etc. Responsibilities include the coordination of technological requirements of the department and the development of workflow and infrastructure to support the innovation technology roadmap. This position collaborates and communicates with operational, clinical, and other innovation technology departments regarding existing and proposed information technology needs.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years development and support of digital signage
  
• 2+ years digital signage system management and administration
  
• 2+ years digital signage architecture and user experience
  
• 2+ years system administration computer environment including hardware, operating system software and application software.
  
• 2+ experience infrastructure and clinical application (Add technologies such as nurse call etc.) support, application development, testing, and cloud native developments.
  
• 2+ years of experience in the selection, installation, support and usage of computer applications and Windows Server-based software or equivalent experience.
  
• Strong understanding of new media visual technologies and presentation best practices (LED, screen resolution, troubleshooting).
  
• Knowledge of APP SPACE.
  
• Experience in managing projects and project teams from inception to completion.
  
• Demonstrated high level knowledge of total computer environment including hardware, operating system software and application software.
  
• Detailed knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  
• Must have a clear understanding of the role of the APP SPACE technology as it relates to critical patient care environment.
  
• Demonstrated high level of knowledge and experience with respect to technologies appropriate to the healthcare, research, and education industry.
  
• Ability to integrate the understanding of the department goals and objectives, commitments, and projections within a service-oriented healthcare environment.
  
• Ability to apply advanced problem resolution skills to highly complex issues, quickly diagnose problems and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of touchscreen and video wall design principles.
  
• Demonstrated training and product evaluation experience.
  
• Ability to serve as a technical leader and information resource and to work collaboratively with key personnel and management, providing guidance and recommendations on systems, improvements, upgrades and industry advances and trends.
  
• Knowledge of principals of project management.
  
• Analytical skills required to effectively understand complex networks; to manage administrative, clinical, and fiscal information; and to comprehend such information to make timely and correct decisions.
  
• Expertise in documentation and reporting with the ability to apply metrics, plan and implement testing systems, collect, and analyze performance data and produce substantive reports and analyses for management use.
  
• Excellent planning skills to analyze goals and objectives given the current and potential projects under development; ensuring short-and long-term projection and establish needs and resource requirements.
  
• Experience troubleshooting and configuring wired and wireless communication equipment and related computer equipment, including application and operating systems software.
  
• Ability to facilitate/manage meetings, including the development of meeting agendas.
  
• Familiar with publishing content through a content management system.
  
• Knowledge of computer networking and streaming, with a focus on audio/visual.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience installing, configuring, and maintaining servers in a VMware environment including monitoring of system health and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  
• 2+ years' experience with network system hardware including Routers, Bridges, Switches, Gateways and Hubs; network operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and 2016 and/or LINUX; fundamentals of the system development life cycles.
  
• 2+ years' experience with concepts with data modeling and administration; concepts of network protocols including TCP/IP, NetBIOS/NetBEUI and topologies including Ethernet; practices of software/hardware troubleshooting tools such as sniffers, RMON, flukes, and SNMP; concepts of relational and network database management.
  
• Demonstrated experience with Windows and Windows Server 2008 - 2012, SQL Express and Full SQL, VMWARE.
  
• Identify and develop opportunities to build compelling proposals to help Auxiliary Services modernize their portfolio and move their workloads into virtual and possibly cloud providers.
  
• Experience in Python programming, batch scripting, bash scripts and PowerShell
  
• Experience in Software testing, debugging, setting up of various OS platforms (Windows, Linux, OSX)
