The College of Engineering is currently seeking a Communications Director Sr./Engineering (Director of Marketing and Communications). The Director of Marketing and Communications for the college will be advisor to the Dean, Associate Deans, Department Chairs and Director of Advancement regarding communication and marketing strategies for recruitment and promotion of College of Engineering programs, events and activities. This position will strategize and oversee overall brand development and management for the College; develop and implement yearly marketing, promotion and advertising strategies and budget for the College. This role will manage, supervise, hire Marketing and Communications Department staff which consists of full-time employees, work-study students and interns; manage and assign projects/workloads and set priorities for all reports; develop, manage, implement and oversee the budget for marketing and advertising; manage and develop relationships with outside vendors, including printers, photographers, writers, and freelance designers.

The Director of Marketing and Communications will submit and negotiate bid requests/estimates for all communications projects. Additionally, this individual will support Advancement Office with Philanthropy communications; serve as editor-in-chief for magazines, newsletters and brochures for the College; oversee and manage content of college website; be responsible for content on all social media channels. The Director of Marketing and Communications will also collaborate with UKPR and the President's office to increase the College's exposure in University-wide publications and speeches.

An understanding of integrated, brand marketing and content marketing in a collaborative,higher education setting. Proven history of relationship-building and outstanding customer service. Leadership and management experience in a higher education marketing and communications setting. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven history of strategic planning and execution. Experience planning and producing high-profile publications. Experience overseeing content and function of a university website.
