General Statement of Duties

The Program Aide will be responsible for the assisting with the daily coordination of the Food for Thought Pantry at Mount Wachusett Community College, including, but not limited to, food pick up and distribution, assisting students with intake forms, tracking usage, and other activities.

Responsibilities

In support of expanding food security through the Food for Thought Pantry, the Program Aide will

• Assist in connecting students to food resources on campus and in the community
• Assist with food item collection and distribution to students
• Assist in developing and/or facilitating appropriate programs or services
• Provide versatile support to students that is sensitive to socio-economic, cultural and age variances
• Assist students with accessing food pantry services and items
• Assist with inventory review at both the Leominster and Gardner Campuses
• Communicate student needs and concerns to supervisor, as appropriate
• Applies the MWCC equity agenda with a racial equity lens to all duties and responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or Equivalency
• Ability to interact with diverse constituencies including other program personnel, partner organization personnel, parent/guardians and participants.
• Ability to meet physical demands of lifting up 35lbs or more

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bilingual and/or Multilingual Speaker
