A Postdoctoral Scholar position is available under joint supervision between two departments (Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences/Dr. Mark Greiner and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Experimental Therapeutics/Dr. Aliasger Salem). Research areas include i) drug discovery and drug development research for the treatment of corneal diseases, ii) developing genetically modified animal models of corneal disease, iii) identifying novel therapeutic targets and mechanisms for translational research. The laboratory employs genetic mouse models, cell culture systems, and multidisciplinary approaches ranging from Biomedical Engineering, Cell Biology, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
