Research Technician I
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: Our laboratory studies the immune basis for lung diseases such as asthma, COPD, and pulmonary fibrosis. We are a multi-disciplinary research team that conducts several projects involving both translational human studies and mouse models of disease. The individual hired for this position will have some experience with basic immunology and cell biology techniques (ideally flow cytometry) and a high degree of computer literacy. This person will work doing mouse studies, including disease modeling, surgery/procedures, husbandry, and cell culture. They may also be asked to assist with translational human studies using a variety of molecular and cellular techniques including, but not limited to: flow cytometry, single-cell sorting, DNA and RNA extract
