Summary of Duties: The Fiscal Specialist 1 in the Office of Administrative Services (OAS) department provides a variety of fiscal and administrative support to the units in Academic Outreach and Innovation (AOI), along with those across the WSU system. Applies principles of financial management to perform such functions as record keeping, auditing, analysis, budgeting, travel, purchasing and other types of fiscal operations. Reviews and researches operating procedures and problems and develops solutions and/or recommendations The individual in the Fiscal Specialist role will be responsible for:
- Fiscal and Administrative Support
- Travel Processing
- Special Projects as Assigned
- Global Campus Student Account support

Required Qualifications:
- Three years of fiscal record keeping experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
- An appreciation of the benefits of a diverse workplace and willingness to take actions to enhance the diversity of WSU.
- Strong customer service orientation - the desire and ability to provide friendly and flexible services and support.
- Demonstrated computer skills, including the ability to use office software, such as databases and spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to exercise independent judgement and make decisions.
- Experience preparing fiscal reports, charts and graphs in Excel.

Monthly Salary: Effective July 1, 2022 Range 40, $3,246 - $4,216 (Step A through L). Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
