Duties:
The Psychological Counseling Center at SUNY New Paltz is accepting applications for two nine-month counselor positions. The successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to working with marginalized and underserved populations. Individuals of BIPOC identity and/or multilingual abilities encouraged to apply. The estimated start date is August 15, 2022 or until filled.
Duties:
- Provide culturally competent clinical services; short-term individual and group psychotherapy, intake/assessments, triage appointments, after-hours (rotating) crisis intervention, case management and referral, outreach services, consultation, and participation in a multidisciplinary approach to the clinical care of New Paltz students
- Serve as a professional resource providing treatment specific services especially in the area of trauma specific interventions or disordered eating
- Clinical training and supervision of MSW and MHC interns
