Job Description:
What We Are Looking For
This position serves as the Assistant to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and as support staff to the Music Education and Vocal Studies Divisions within the School of Music. This role facilitates all administrative tasks not assigned to the Division Chair and maintains all divisional student records.
A Bachelor's degree, five years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required.
What You Will Do
- Assist executive level leadership with daily administrative operations; analyze and prepare reports as needed
- Serve as primary contact for various departments
- Assist with budget management processes; maintain confidential records
- Coordinate special events and departmental requests
- Implement office operations, procedures and activities
- Maintain follow-up system on pending projects and reports
- Create new course schedules
- Update Teachers of Record, enrollment, and room changes
- Oversee annual student award plaques - engraving on current plaques and creation of new ones
- Waco Hall East facility oversite: relay of maintenance requests, monitoring of copiers and printers, etc.
- Maintain hardcopy/digital records for all current/prospective music education and voice students
- Maintain MUED Convo attendance, data for SACSCOC accreditation
- Facilitate BME Sophomore Review process
- Requisitions/PO's/Invoice payment for division supplies and materials
- Coordinate Student Teacher placements
- Handle scheduling of Vocal Music Hours/Student Juries
- Assist with department communications and correspondence
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
