Job Responsibilities

 

The HVAC Instructor/Program Coordinator will be a positive role model for students with instruction based on collaboration and current state-of-the-art practices in content delivery with an established course curriculum.  Course offerings will include various aspects of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning and could include online course instruction in the future. The position will include other duties as assigned by the Dean of Technical Education and Workforce Innovation.
 
The position is a SFCC Board of Trustees approved contractual position which may include some evening and weekend hours and periodic travel. The completion of a successful background check will be required post offer. Expected use of technology will be required with training offered to the selected candidate for successful content delivery and student success.   

Job Qualifications:

1. Associates degree in HVAC or related field PLUS approximately four (4) years of paid nonteaching documentable occupational experience in HVAC, OR
2. Active journey-level* status in HVAC PLUS at least two (2) years of paid non-teaching documentable occupational experience in HVAC, OR
3. At least 6.75 years of paid non-teaching documentable occupational experience in HVAC
4. Included in the above experience, candidate must have at least one (1) year of demonstrated relevant occupational experience within the last five (5) years.
