The Paramedic will be responsible for:
- Delivering hands-on patient care to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients during interfacility transport.
- Collaborating with the Transport RN and the Medical Control Physicians during resuscitation, stabilization and transport.
- Managing transport equipment (ventilator, medication pump, isolette, etc.).
- Operating the Boston Children's Hospital ambulance.
- Arranging ambulance discharges from Boston Children's Hospital.
- Managing critical care transport team telephone requests.
- Manage Emergency Department referrals ("expects") from the region.
- Facilitating telemedicine consults with several hospital emergency departments.
- 36hrs, rotating days/nights and weekends.
To qualify, you must have:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- A current valid driver's license.
- A Minimum of 4 years EMT-P experience (experience in a 911 system is preferred).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical skills to gather and interpret pertinent clinical data.
- The ability to work on a team.
