Join our groundbreaking research teams in the Labs of Cognitive Neuroscience (LCN) at Boston Children's Hospital. The Program Coordinator position offers an exciting opportunity to be involved with the day-to-day operations of a cutting edge developmental research operation, providing administrative and operational support for all four labs within the LCN, while working closely with the Program Manager and administrative staff in the Division of Developmental Medicine. The position requires flexibility, creative problem-solving and the ability to learn new software and systems as needed. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities are essential.
The Program Coordinator I shall be responsible for:
- Coordinating activities and daily operations of a program.
- May prepare or assist in preparation of proposal for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors.
- Conferring with staff and others to provide technical advice, provide problem solving assistance and answer questions about the program and its goals. Referring inquiries to others as needed.
- May prepare or assists in the preparation of periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
- May review applications or other program documents in conjunction with supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program.
- May assist in the coordination of recruitment efforts.
- Drafting written communication and promotional literature.
- May assist in planning workshops, meetings or conferences; coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communications.
- Interacting and maintaining liaison with staff, faculty and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.
To qualify, you must have:
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1 year of relevant experience required
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations
- The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
