Seeking a Lab Manager to support a committed team of research professionals focused on understanding platelet biology in a dynamic academic environment. Be our 'go-to' person for all things lab related. Personal and professional growth is encouraged in this position, including research opportunities.
Key responsibilities include coordinating with postdocs and technicians to promote an efficient research environment, including:
- Performing regular inventory of lab common stocks, analyzing lab workflows to arrange materials and resources in an efficient manner
- Developing proficiency in the maintenance and troubleshooting of critical lab instrumentation
- Performing experiments and publishing on core research projects
- Bachelor's degree with a background in biological sciences
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide array of personalities and work styles
- Experience working in a research lab and culturing cells is required
- Solid organization skills, time management, and team coordination
- Show initiative and exhibit independence in identifying and addressing short and long-term opportunities for optimization of lab processes
- Strong experience managing a biology lab a must
