Overview
Manage multiple simultaneous operational projects for the Employee Systems Management team. Partner with HR, Finance, IT and other University groups to drive each project to success. Lead all aspects of a project, from start to finish, and ensure that project targets and milestones are met. Create and follow an operational plan for completing the project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; take action to resolve problems and minimize delays. Secure and oversee the resources and activities required to complete each project. Facilitate meetings to define, design and execute projects. Ensure project documentation, including requirements, design, test cases, training and migration, are thorough and properly approved. Conduct meetings, prepare reports and give presentations to communicate the status of the project to governance committees and stakeholders. Escalate issues to appropriate leadership for resolution.
Responsibilities
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Required Experience:
3+ years of experience and expertise in project management and business analysis.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years Previous experience managing projects in Higher Education. Experience managing Workday or other large HR system projects. Project Management Professional certification. Six Sigma training.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proven ability to scope, manage and deliver on projects. Excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies. Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams. Experience managing medium or large-scale complex projects or leading a project team. Outstanding analytical skills. Detail oriented and ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of HR and Payroll operations
