Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Clinical Coordinator for the Office of Research within the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). The Program Clinical Coordinator provides support and leadership in the development, promotion, direction and implementation of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine pre-doctoral, post-graduate and faculty research initiatives and programs.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

- Provides internal management and consultative services to professional staff, faculty and students with respect to planning, developing and implementing proposals, objectives and grant writing; develops and implements a student grant program to grow the number of student grant submissions.
- Coordinates, writes and submits grants to fund Office of Research initiatives; serves as Principal Investigator, when applicable.
- Disseminates information to faculty and staff regarding funding opportunities, actively searches for relevant grant opportunities, federal, state, and internal; utilizes various grant databases and search engines to identify federal, state and private funding (i.e. Grant Reporter, Grants.gov, NIH Reporter).
- Provides input and support for policies of NIH/HRSA/DOD and other grants.
- Develops and implements a student publication plan to grow the number of student publications.
- Coordinates RSDM research outreach initiatives; fosters research collaborations with other schools and institutes.
- Develops and maintains the content for the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) – Office of Research social media accounts.
- Serves as Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) – Office of Research representative at external conferences and trainings.
- Assures that staff and students are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of, and adherence to, compliance policies and procedures specific to the research initiatives.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- At least 3 years of administrative and/or basic/clinical research experience.
- Research experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent writing and communication skills including proposal/abstract writing and grant submissions.
- Current or previous history of education grant funding.
- Must be knowledgeable in Endnote, MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- Experience specific to Rutgers University is a bonus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to lift or exert force up to ten (10) pounds.
