The Lifespan Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) and the Division of Cardiology, Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, is seeking a physician to serve as faculty in the section of Interventional Cardiology. The Lifespan CVI includes major teaching affiliates of Brown, including the Rhode Island and Miriam Hospitals in Providence, Rhode Island. Responsibilities of this position include practice of interventional cardiology and contribution to the educational a research mission of the division.
The successful candidate must qualify for a full-time medical faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher in the Department of Medicine at Brown University. Minimum requirements include: board certification in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, and a minimum of 3 years faculty experience. Specialization in complex coronary interventions such as chronic total occlusions, use of mechanical circulatory support devices, and critical care cardiology are highly desirable. In addition to a strong clinical background in cardiology and interventional cardiology, the successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to scholarly participation in the research programs of The Warren Alpert Medical School. A local or national reputation, an appropriate record of research funding and/or scholarly publications, and evidence of involvement in professional activities or societies in line with rank are required.
