Overview
High Meadows Environmental Institute (HMEI) seeks an energetic individual to provide research assistance to Dr. Ramanan Laxminarayan, Senior Research Scholar.
Responsibilities
The Research Associate will provide research support for several different projects related to antimicrobial resistance and vaccination. Research-related tasks will include literature reviews, data cleaning and analysis, and manuscript preparation along with some grant and administrative support. In addition, the Research Associate will assist with research administration including hiring and managing student workers, reporting to funders, organizing meetings/calls, coordination with finance team.
HMEI seek applicants with backgrounds in global/public health, epidemiology, economics, molecular biology, computer science, and/or natural sciences.
This is a one year term appointment, with possibility of renewal dependent upon funding.
Qualifications
Candidates must have BA/BS. MA/MS/MPH is preferred. We seek applicants with backgrounds in global/public health, epidemiology, economics, molecular biology, computer science, and/or natural sciences. We especially seek individuals with knowledge of epidemiology and good analytical reasoning and technical writing skills. Some experience with programming using ArcGIS and/or R/STATA is necessary and programming experience in other languages including C/C++, SQL, or Python is a plus. Applicants must be well organized, attentive to detail, and able to work independently.
