Staff Scientist - Pediatrics
Scheduled Hours40Position SummaryThe Bubeck-Wardenburg lab at Washington University School of Medicine focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which bacteria interact with the host, most notably in the causation of infectious disease. We utilize extensive in vivo and in vitro modeling of bacterial infection in concert with both bacterial and host genetic perturbation to examine the host-bacterial interaction. The Staff Scientist will work closely with the PI in studies examining mouse models of infection and vaccine development. Commonly utilized techniques will include animal modeling of infection, protein purification, molecular biologic and cell biologic studies.
