Position Summary:
The Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences is inviting applications for a full-time faculty member of the Rutgers Doctorate in Physical Therapy Program. We are specifically seeking a Physical Therapist with expertise to manage in collaboration with the other Directors of Clinical Education, the clinical education portion of the physical therapy program. This faculty position is at the Instructor to Assistant Professor level.

As one of the oldest University's in the country, Rutgers recently celebrated its 250th anniversary. SHP is one of eight schools that are part of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, the premier health sciences institution in New Jersey. The Physical Therapy Program is housed within the SHP Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences.

As a Center for Rehabilitation Excellence, this Department is focused on the evolution of our clinical spaces and labs, being in the forefront of education in physical and occupational therapy and speech-language pathology and conducting research to optimize patient care and outcomes. Our faculty are national and global leaders in their fields. With all three programs housed within the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences there are wonderful opportunities for student interprofessional education and faculty collaborative research and scholarship.
Minimum Education and Experience:
The preferred candidate for this 12-month position should at the minimum have a DPT degree, preference will be given to those who will be completing or have completed a post professional academic degree. The faculty member should have experience in clinical education in the academic of clinical setting. Preference will be given to a physical therapist with some experience in an education program. The position requires excellent interpersonal and written skills.
