This position reports directly to Program Director, and is responsible to the Dean of the Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies.

Teaching Responsibilities: 18 Credits
•Provides dual-degree, didactic year, and research semester instruction.
•Instructs and assesses students in courses such as physical examination and diagnostic modalities courses, correlative medicine, structure lab, simulation activities, and summative exams.
•Proctors examinations.
•Is responsible for the coordination of selected courses:
oMonitoring and revision of syllabi
oCoordination of instructional sessions.
oCreates, updates, changes, distributes, monitors, and grades student assignments and assessments.
oDevelop instruments to monitor overall efficacy of didactic courses:
*Testing instruments reflecting course objectives
*Validation and standardization of testing instruments
*Curriculum adherence to national and state accreditation requirements
oIdentification of students with performance deficiencies and development of strategies to address deficiencies including remediation exercises.
oAct as a liaison to core faculty for college resources, textbooks, and teaching materials.
oUpdates instructional materials on learning management systems (i.e. Blackboard). Assures course materials are posted.
oAssists with processing of course related data and analyzes course related data.
oCommunicates with all faculty to assure objectives are communicated and consistency is preserved.
oAssures students are registered.
•Other responsibilities as determined by the program director.

Faculty Program Responsibilities:
•Participate in program committees.
•Participate in School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies governance.
•Is responsible for the overall coordination of the research semester schedule.
•Develop participatory research opportunities for all students.
•Identify research sites and on-site preceptors.
•Obtain IRB approval as necessary.
•Draft data use agreements and all other necessary clearance documentation, including medical clearance
•Create data collection tools (surveys, interview guides) as necessary
•Oversee written capstone projects
•Coordinate research poster conference
•Is responsible for all aspects related to coordinating and conducting assessment of all facets of the program
•Oversee the development of summary reports of assessment results
•Initiate grant proposals.
•Initiate, coordinate, and facilitate dissemination of research by students and faculty.
•Participate in faculty development and in PAEA.
•Participate in University-wide and community admissions events and other activities as required.
•Participate in the evaluation and selection of applicants as a member of the program’s Admission Committee.
•Provide academic counseling to students.
•Participate in curriculum development, design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the program.
•Assure availability of remediation.
•Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of the program mission.
•Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of program goals and competencies.
•Actively participate in student performance.
•Actively participate in the duties necessary for program maintenance of accreditation.
•Attends, participates in, and prepares for all student orientation sessions.
•Attends, prepares for, and participates in all faculty, end of semester, student-faculty, retreat, and all other departmental meetings.
•Other responsibilities as determined by the program director.
