The Edward Garon Lab in the Division of Hematology-Oncology, Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking applicants for Project Scientist positions at the Assistant, Associate, or full rank. The candidates will perform collaborative research on biomedical informatics and computational biology in lung cancer. The candidate will be responsible for supervising junior postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and undergraduate student researchers, preparing manuscripts for publication in scientific journals, and assisting with the preparation of grant proposals.
This position requires a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences and a minimum of 5 years experience in biomedical research. This is a 12-month position.
General Responsibilities:
Develop concepts, identify mechanisms, and perform biomedical informatics and computational biology as it relates to the pathogenesis of lung cancer, prepare high-impact publications and assist with grant preparation.
