The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPPS), Department of Pharmacy Practice (PHPR) is seeking a motivated professional to fill a 12-month Clinical Tenure Track Assistant Professor, Clinical Pharmacist position in Inpatient Internal Medicine or related clinical specialties.

Overall duties include didactic and experiential teaching, patient care, scholarly activity, and service.
This individual will teach in the CPPS PharmD program and will work collaboratively with one of the interprofessional inpatient teams within the University of Toledo health care system.
The academic responsibilities of the clinical faculty member include teaching in the classroom and skills-based laboratory portions of the didactic curriculum, precepting entry-level Doctor of Pharmacy students (IPPEs and APPEs) and PGY1 residents, and advising students.
CPPS clinical faculty currently round with interprofessional teams in multiple locations (inpatient and ambulatory settings) at the University of Toledo Medical Center and affiliated clinics as well as the Promedica Health System hospitals and clinics.
Patient care responsibilities include medication review and reconciliation, medication and dosing recommendations, therapeutic drug monitoring, provision of drug information, and patient education.
The candidate will also be responsible for nurse, physician, and pharmacy staff development; coordinating and conducting quality initiative projects, and developing collaborative treatment and research protocols.
The individual will establish and maintain an area and focus of research relevant to pharmacy practice or education.
Scholarly activity, including grant-writing, presentations and publications, is expected and will be supported.
Start date: July 1, 2022 (flexible).

PharmD degree and PGY1 Residency required.
Must be licensed, or eligible for licensure, to practice pharmacy in Ohio.
Must be eligible for employment in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
PGY2 residency and teaching / academic experience (e.g. TLCP certificate) preferred.
Some research and scholarly activity experience is expected.
