Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Job Opening at Columbia University Medical Center

Position Title: Associate in Clinical level positions in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC)

Job Description:
Full time positions are available for Psychiatry Nurse Practitioners to work within Columbia Doctors outpatient setting providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatments for general psychiatry. Additionally, there is opportunity in specialty areas such as substance abuse, women's mental health or LGBT.

Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Provide diagnostic psychiatric evaluations.
2. Provide psychopharmacologic and short term psychotherapeutic treatments for a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses.
3. Working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team with strong interpersonal and communication skills is important.
4. The setting requires flexibility, consultative skills, and active collaboration with other providers and team members.
5. Document appropriately.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing required;
New York State Registered Nurse and Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner Licenses required;
National Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), plus a minimum of two (2) years' experience in an outpatient setting; and
DEA certificate is also required.
