Assistant Project Scientist in Nematology
Assistant Project Scientist in Nematology The Department of Nematology at the University of California invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Project Scientist in Nematology to conduct fundamental research for the Groen Lab. The purpose of this position is to conduct research on the genetic basis of plant-parasitic nematode interactions. The final candidate will work towards gaining a better understanding of the role of plant chemicals in mediating plant interactions with parasitic nematodes, including Meloidogyne root-knot nematodes. Required qualifications at time of application for this position include: a Ph.D. degree in plant pathology or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in performing research on plant-nematode interactions.
