The Office Assistant position directly supports the Associate Dean for Teacher Education and the Associate Dean for Administration of the School of Education.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Committee on Student Standing
Schedules semester meetings and reserve meeting space, receive petitions and prepare agenda and petitions for distribution to the committee, attend meeting and take minutes, prepare and send response letters to petitioners.
Graduate Studies Council and Research Advisory Committee
Schedules semester meetings and reserve meeting space, prepare and distribute agenda and any attachments, attend meeting and take minutes, distribute minutes to attendees.
Manages request and track internal and external evaluations through Interfolio for faculty members in the tenure and promotion process. Monitors cases in Interfolio and send cases forward for next level review.
Assists two Associate Deans with all matters including appointment calendars, travel arrangements as needed, coordinate & order food for meetings and special initiatives such as seminars, update information and documents for upload to website, prepare/edit documents prepared by others, oversee student workers.
Manages and secures anonymous nominations and elections for School of Education (SoE) committee positions as well as for SoE representatives to Univeristy committee positions. Keep listings of committee members current for SoE website.
Coordinates faculty searches, assists with faculty onboarding, collects course syllabi, and maintains SoE calendar and other duties as needed.
Performs other related job duties as assigned by the Associate Deans.
The successful candidate will have earned a high school diploma.

Associate’s Degree and 5 years of experience in a higher education office setting.
