The Clinical Value Analysis Manager is responsible for facilitating the system wide value analysis process with the goal of providing high quality, safe, patient-centered and cost effective products, services and technology.
This position is responsible for a multi-million dollar annual savings goal that that is created every year. The Clinical Value Analysis Manager will provide clinical and strategic expertise that facilitates supply expense management while continuously improving quality, safety and satisfaction, through clinical engagement.

Directs the identification and analytic review of clinical product and device use variances among nursing and medical staff. Establishes monitoring mechanisms for product and device compliance, savings realized and quality outcomes associated with changes in clinical products and practices. Develop dashboards to track and communicate progress also use the BIAA team as a partner for creating provider dashboards and utilization data.
Builds and maintains a supportive relationship with Medical Staff and nursing staff for the proactive analysis and approval of initiatives intended to drive improved clinical outcomes and savings
Consults as necessary with influential clinical leaders and physicians to improve care processes affecting utilization, standardization, and acquisition of supplies. Maintains a dotted line to the Chief Medical Officer with recurring standing meetings.
Serve as a change agent to challenge and provide recommendations for advancement that will promote consistent data and clinical driven decisions that are implemented across the organization
Utilize the clinical product value analysis discipline to optimize value through appropriate utilization and savings while preserving or enhancing quality
Serve as liaison between VACs and the Value Analysis Steering Committee (VASC)
Implement new policies and procedures for the VAC program, including product evaluations, conversions, urgent requests, new technology, etc.
Challenge VACs & Sub-Committees to integrate clinical, financial and operational improvements within their initiatives
Coach VACs & Sub-Committees to effectively plan and carry out successful implementation of change
Create visibility for finance staff to forecast changes to resource needs (e.g., impact of program redesign or new products on labor and subsequent cost models) to ensure that accounting processes and methodology support transition to value-based care.
Serve as an initial point of contact with vendors
Interact with the ITG group about building in innovative opportunities to integrate and partner supply chain with Epic
Bachelors degree required.
Ten years of clinical background required.
Minimum of three years experience in a leadership position.
A minimum of 5 years work with Healthcare Value Analysis processes required.
Must have experience with healthcare supply chain, standardization, utilization, product adoption/implementation, contract management, surgical services, value analysis or change management.
Demonstrated creativity, imagination, initiative and good judgment in developing, organizing and implementing ideas and programs.
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills across the continuum of healthcare, including DRG approach to value analysis.
Requires ability to work comfortably with a variety of levels within the organization from staff level to C-Suite.
The position requires strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of computer software with an intermediate skill level for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
