75% Fabrication of research equipment and devices to specification using drawings or software. 10% Review construction drawings and comment on feasibility, efficiency and errors. 10% Maintain equipment, tooling and supplies in SAFL fabrication spaces. 5% Identify ways to improve fabrication workflow and use of resources.
One year of college engineering coursework, trade school and/or work experience.
4+ years of professional fabrication experience. Specifically welding, machining and assembly. Experience with repair and maintenance of machine tools. Practical knowledge of materials typically used in construction.
