The Voluntary- Group Fitness Instructor assists member-clients in establishing and reaching their fitness/wellness goals by developing a safe and effective class and providing guidance in proper exercise technique. Seeking highly qualified, certified instructors to lead strength, cardio, and mid-body formats, such as yoga (Hatha, Vinyasa), Pilates, fitness boxing/ boxing conditioning, sculpting, Barre, Zumba, HIIT, and more.
Bachelor degree and/or its equivalent required.
Must possess the ability to lead a variety of group exercise class formats for our multi-generational student/staff population.
Ability to develop and lead high choreography cardio formats such as cardio dance and cardio kickboxing is a plus.
Instructors must be prompt, reliable, and able to follow departmental procedures.
Current CPR/AED/ First Aid are required.
Nationally recognized group fitness instructor certification, small group training certification, and/or personal training certification combined with group instructor experience, or certification in specific format is strongly preferred.
Flexible availability, particularly mornings, late afternoons, and/or weekends is appreciated/preferred.
