Provides office coordination and support to Departmental faculty and the academic coordinator; acts as a resource for Departmental staff regarding policy and process related questions; reconciles departmental financial reports; coordinates conferences and medical student courses; provides assistance to faculty for pre and post grant support; prepares correspondence and reports for composition and editing; prepares university finance and HR related forms; and assists with faculty hiring and credentialing.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical school or related field; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in customer service or in performing tasks related to the area of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience maintaining account ledgers; departmental operations; employment or in performing tasks related to the area of employment; experience in word processing, editing and composing correspondence; maintaining spreadsheets and/or databases; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience processing disbursements in EBS and account reconciliation, experience with both pre and post award grant support. Ability to maintain multiple schedules; strong interpersonal communication; organization and time management skills; demonstrated ability to work independently within a team-based environment; handle multiple priorities and complex assignments.
