This Clinical Nutrition Specialist II will be responsible for:
Providing comprehensive outpatient nutritional care to patients in IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) clinic and general nutrition.
Assessments including but not limited to developing, implementing and monitoring individualized nutritional care plans, according to hospital and professional standards of care.
Documenting assessments, interventions and education in the patient medical record.
Collaborating with interprofessional team members, including physician partners, to optimize safest nutrition care plans.
Instructing patients and caregivers on prescribed nutritional/diet plan. Serving as a resource and educator for health care providers, students, community dietitians and the public.
Working collaboratively with peers and those from other disciplines and patient care settings, and promoting team morale within Clinical Nutrition Services and on patient units.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in nutrition and three plus years of progressive experience in Dietetics with at least 2 years in pediatric nutrition
Registration by Commission on Dietetic Registration, the Credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as a Registered Dietitian
Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a licensed Dietitian.
Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in-depth, experienced-based knowledge.
Good communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions and well-developed writing skills
Spanish language skills a plus
This position is based in Boston, with two Waltham clinics coverage days per month (2nd and 4th Mondays)
