The Staff Research Associate I/ II (SRA I/II) will support the research studies of the Principal Investigator (PI) in understanding how alterations during pregnancy may influence fetal development. The research is specifically focused on how changes in immune cell function during pregnancy may have downstream effects on the fetus.
Under direct supervision and training, the SRA I/II will perform molecular biology techniques and immunology techniques to include analyzing tissues and performing tissue cultures. The SRA I/II will complete experiments in molecular immunology and troubleshoot as necessary according to the results obtained. In addition, this position will assist with animal operations and animal care.
All applicants with a relevant background may apply, but a priority will be given to applicants with a proven cell and molecular biology background. This is an outstanding opportunity to learn a variety of molecular biology and immunology techniques, perform tissue culture, assist in the care of animals, and learn about small animal surgery.
