The Administrative and Lab Operation Specialist involves supporting or performing operational and administrative services to the McManus Research group at UC San Francisco. In addition, this involves coordination of communication and pertinent data among a group of the McManus Research management staff. Performs and/or oversees special projects or assignments that are highly sensitive or complex in nature, requiring a high level of independence and initiative in execution and implementation. This position requires the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion and is charged with handling and relaying sensitive information and data. Also, have the ability to problem-solve and analyze issues.
Responsibilities may include preparing presentations, reports and data entry; requires strong computer and internet research skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management, faculty, staff, outside clients and vendors. General management includes long and short-range strategic planning in determining the mission and directing all activities of multi-disciplinary departments through subordinate management staff.
The Administrative and Lab Operation Specialist will provide excellent and independent administrative operation. Act as the Research Center web master: creates and updates website content; creates links to other relevant websites; coordinates various research programs; coordinates meetings of the advisory committee.
